Train your ear
Most ear-training apps drill intervals. We test absolute pitch recall in a small, fast loop: listen, wait, recreate.
Cents-based grading
We score in cents — 1/100 of a semitone. A six-semitone error is the worst score we give; everything finer is graded linearly.
Octave mode
Toggle ±1 octave to force your guess into a different register. Same target, harder placement.
Daily pitch challenge
A new five-tone sequence drops at 00:00 UTC every day. Identical for every player worldwide.
FAQ
Do I need headphones? +
They help. Phone speakers tend to roll off below 200 Hz, which makes low tones hard to judge.
Is this perfect pitch testing? +
It is a recall test, which is one of several skills people lump under "perfect pitch."
What is a cent? +
A cent is 1/1200th of an octave, i.e. 1/100th of a semitone. We score by cents distance to the target.
Why does the page ask for permission? +
Browsers require a user gesture before playing audio. The bottom-sheet exists to satisfy that rule and unlock the AudioContext.
Will there be intervals or chords? +
Maybe. Right now single-tone recall is the focus.
Can I play offline? +
After the first visit, yes — the page is static and cacheable.
